Touro College of Pharmacy is unlike any other four-year pharmacy program. What sets us apart?
For starters, we provide an exceptional, 2.5+1.5 curriculum-based education that is rare among pharmacy schools. Our unique curriculum gives students 54 weeks of rotations, so you have more opportunity to put what you learn into practice.
We are located in Manhattan and our facilities include state-of-the-art laboratories and a working pharmacy where students can gain critical experience as practicing pharmacists.
Beyond that, we are the pharmacy school focused on public health, cultural awareness, and community service.
We strive to increase the number of minority health professionals while serving under-resourced communities and providing outreach and education about preventive care. We also work to promote the study of science and the field of pharmacy and are affiliated with STEM.
What We’ve Done
Our faculty assisted with recovery efforts in Haiti following the 2010 earthquake.
TCOP faculty, staff, and students have administered over 2,000 influenza vaccines in our neighboring communities, and our faculty pharmacists immunized 604 people during Harlem Immunization Week.
Our students coordinated an effort to collaborate with Harlem barbers and hair stylists to raise awareness about diabetes and diabetes prevention among their clients and communities.
Through a partnership with the NYC Department of Health and the New York Academy of Medicine, Touro College of Pharmacy received the American Pharmacist Association Champion Award.
