Michael Papetti, Ph.D.,
Research Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences
Dr. Papetti was formerly Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Undergraduate Studies, at the Touro College School of Health Sciences in Bay Shore, Long Island, NY and is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Oncology, at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA; his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Physiology from Tufts University, Boston, MA; and post-doctoral training in the Department of Cell Biology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His research interests have focused on investigating the molecular mechanisms controlling differentiation and tumorigenesis to elucidate ways in which a cell maintains a healthy state and prevents cancer. He has authored or co-authored numerous papers and presentations, served as a lab mentor for graduate, undergraduate and medical students, and taught courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. His honors include a 1st Place Award, Young Investigators Research Symposium, Montefiore Medical Center and the receipt of a prestigious Touro College Presidential Research Development Grant.
