Last week Touro College of Pharmacy (TCOP) welcomed 84 students to the school, from as near as Queens, NY and as far as Victoria, Texas and Kumasi, Ghana. Over the course of a jam packed orientation - including a bus tour of Harlem, an introduction to all things academic, a water fight, block party where they were introduced to various campus organizations, and more – we caught up with some of the newly minted P1s to start getting to know the TCOP class of 2020.

This past Saturday, Pharmacists for Public Health (PPH) at the Touro College of Pharmacy (TCOP) teamed up with the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM)-Harlem to perform blood-pressure screenings and brown-bag medication reviews at the third annual Harlem Healthy Soul Festival hosted by the Apollo Theater. The festival, which offered live entertainment, informative exhibits, and presentations by celebrities, doctors and health experts including TouroCOM\'s own Dr. John M. Palmer and Dr. Jeff Gardere, offered families the opportunity to learn about resources that foster active and healthy lifestyles.

Attaining his Pharm.D. is only the first step for Touro College of Pharmacy (TCOP) P2 Alexander Agyei Marfo. Once he finishes his Pharm.D., Agyei Marfo intends to work in the pharmaceutical world for several years while earning an MBA. After that, he hopes to start a hedge fund with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry.
