While her sister was a biotech specialist in Regeneron, Jenee and her sister’s path almost diverged. She attended TouroCOM Middletown’s Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Biological and Physical Sciences and planned to attend PA school. “I wasn’t really thinking about pharmacy since I always thought pharmacists worked in retail chains,” said Jenee. “My sister’s acceptance into TCOP made me reconsider. I always wanted to be in healthcare and once I spoke with Dean Fuchs and realized that as a pharmacist, I can educate patients and speak to them about what they’re going through, I realized it would be a great idea to become a pharmacist.” Jenee is considering a career in clinical pharmacy and said one of the most formative experiences she had was working in a women’s maternity clinic in Uganda. “I want to bring my experience and education with me when I become a pharmacist,” she said.
