Interesting past work

Junyi worked as a laboratory technologist in a biochemistry lab at Mount Sinai Hospital for 2 years. His primary role was to process patient specimen and detect disease markers in inborn errors of metabolism (rare genetic disorders where the body cannot properly turn food into energy).

Why pharmacy?

“I’ve always been interested in how drugs affect the body and how they interact with our human biology. Someone can become addicted to pain killers that have serious side effects, and we need to think about that risk and determine if it still benefits the patient. We need an alternative to these drugs…”

Pharm Goals

“…hopefully someday I’ll help make one of those alternatives to pain killers!”

Fun fact

“I moved from China to Queens in 2002.”
