Tzivia Elias

Where Tzivia Elias is from is an important factor in how she ended up in pharmacy school. “I’m from Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Children Hospital is one of the best hospitals in the country,” said Elias who attended Touro’s Lander College for Women in the school’s integrated honors pharmacy track. “A lot of people came to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for treatment. I was exposed to that and how much medical professionals help them. I volunteered as part of Bikur Cholim, a Jewish organization that helps patients, and sometimes I would go for the weekends to stay with sick children to give their families a break.” Wanting to do something in the medical field and take advantage of her interest in chemistry, Elias decided in her senior year of high school to pursue a career in pharmacy.
