Digital Badges for Current Students

About Digital Badges

A digital badge is a graphic verification of the skills you have mastered after successfully completing some form of professional learning or an experience in which you have participated. A digital badge is an icon, but it is not a static image. It is clickable and houses information such as the issuing institution, the date earned, the criteria required to earn the badge, and the evidence that shows that you have met the required criteria. Digital badges are a great way to share your professional learning achievements and new competencies with employers, colleagues, friends, and family via social platforms such as LinkedIn, X, and Facebook, or through an open backpack.

Enrolled students can showcase their competencies and broaden their skills, abilities, and knowledge with our digital badges.

Qualified Touro College of Pharmacy Peer Tutor Skills Badge

The Touro College of Pharmacy Peer Tutoring Program aims to provide peer tutoring assistance to students enrolled in the program by pairing the students who seek or need such services by pairing them with students identified by faculty and administrators at the College as having the necessary capabilities to serve as a tutor. Upon completion of this badge, the participating tutors will have learned about and demonstrated knowledge of the rationale for peer tutoring, as well as associated expectations, terminologies, theories, practical strategies of learning, and study techniques for optimal impact in enabling peers to learn course subject matter and to self- assess their progress. This program highlights the appropriate process of tutors providing assistance, encouragement, and understanding to their tutees based on shared experiences or challenges. This program is developed to ensure that those students who will serve as tutors have been trained appropriately before they engage with their peers in providing the tutoring services.
