Prior to joining TCOP as Director of Student Engagement, Developmental Portfolios and Co-Curricular Learning, Dr. Maltz served as a clinical pharmacist and preceptor in the community pharmacy practice setting where she provided transitions of care, medication therapy management, and disease state management. In addition, Dr. Maltz was involved in new course development of pharmacy practice skills labs and taught a variety of topic areas in pharmacotherapeutics courses. She also implemented and managed student portfolios for professional development and had extensive experience with learning outcomes assessment. Her research interests include the scholarship of teaching and learning and community pharmacy practice. Dr. Maltz is a member of several professional pharmacy associations and is board certified in ambulatory care.
