Ian Wells, BS, Pharm.D. has been appointed to a Touro College Academic Pharmacy Fellowship for the 2019-20 year. The fellowship is a 12-month program designed to prepare new professionals for careers in academic pharmacy through postgraduate training in program development, teaching, scholarship, and practice. Fellows work with faculty and senior administrators to gain experience in teaching, curriculum, assessment, precepting APPE students and participating in research and scholarship.
Education
Dr. Wells received a BS in Chemistry from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Fla. and his PharmD cum laude from the Appalachian College of Pharmacy (ACP) in Oakwood, Va. He then completed his PGY-1 Residency at the Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn. While at ACP he played leadership roles in several student organizations, including as Regent of the school chapter of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity and as president of ACP’s chapter of Rho Chi-the Academic Honor Society in Pharmacy. He has participated in national clinical skills competitions and already has an extensive list of presentations to local, regional and national groups.
