Drug Information Fellow
Dr. Irene Cokro decided to pursue an education in pharmacy to gain scientific acumen and become a drug expert. During her first advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) with a Medical Information team, she discovered that she could bridge these skills with meaningful care— a connection that solidified her interest in drug information. She further built on this interest during her Drug Information APPE at a Medication-Use Safety and Information Center where she responded to pharmacovigilance and medical information requests from the associated health system and the public. Following her passion for research, she engages in projects that require analyzing high-level clinical evidence and transforming it into clear, evidence-based insights.
As the current Drug Information Fellow, Irene responds to unsolicited medical inquiries, precepts students, and contributes to a range of drug information initiatives. She is passionate about improving access to clear, accurate, and actionable medical information to support both healthcare professionals and patients.
