Research Collaborations and Open Innovation Partner

Touro University is one of the leading and largest healthcare educational systems in the U.S. With five medical schools, a dental school, two pharmacy schools, in concert with programs for physician assistants and schools of nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy the university is educating about 7000 students each year, to join the healthcare field.

As an educational institution, we are able coordinate with our sister schools and simulate real-world healthcare teams, having our students work with physicians, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, physician assistants, and/or dentists to come up with treatment plans and understand the role of each healthcare provider.

As researchers, we can also leverage all these other schools, a vast network of expertise, facilities, and minds.

TCOP faculty are engaged in the highest level of research focused on major basic science and clinical issues. TCOP faculty collaborate with and publish studies with world leading research organizations. Research studies at TCOP have been funded by leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Uniquely, as a member of Touro University, TCOP in concert with other Touro University schools can address research projects ranging from formulation and product design up to and including clinical validation and clinical trials.
