Dr. Hernandez Oz is originally from Northern Kazakhstan. She moved to New York in 2011 where she completed her education. She is passionate about pharmacy advocacy and expansion of healthcare access in communities. Dr. Hernandez Oz is excited to serve as a pediatric faculty member at Touro College of Pharmacy and The Brooklyn Hospital Center.

Areas of interest include development of discharge counseling program and discharge medication reconciliation process for pediatric patients; development of pediatric ketogenic diet drug use guidelines; development of Alteplase use policy in pediatric patients with pulmonary embolism; evaluation of enoxaparin and apixaban for the prevention of venous thromboembolism in patients with COVID-19; the effect of Pitavastatin on the blood glucose levels in patients with or without type 2 diabetes mellitus; implementation of a precision-dosing regimen for patients receiving treatment with intravenous immune globulin
