Current initiatives in the areas of the pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences include pharmacology and toxicology, pharmaceutics, cellular and molecular biology, immunology, and microbiology.
Primary areas of research include infectious diseases, cancer biology, and drug discovery. Our initiatives in the pharmaceutical sciences focus on drug development and delivery, and in the biomedical sciences on disease mechanisms and biological systems, seeking a better understanding of the biological processes underlying health and disease and how to use that knowledge and novel scientific discoveries for the prevention and/or treatments of disorders.
