Hi there! I’m so excited to be a student at this wonderful college. I was born and raised in Cuba and at the age of 11, my family and I transitioned to the US to chase the American Dream. We settled in Tampa, Florida, where you can ride jet skis even in the winter. My hobbies include traveling, scuba diving, dancing, and spending quality time with my loved ones. I fell in love with pharmacy working as a certified pharmacy technician in a community setting for over 5 years while I finished undergrad at the University of South Florida. I decided to move to NYC and pursue my PharmD degree at Touro. The student body diversity and the extra semester of rotations and clinical exposure are some of the reasons why Touro is perfect for me and I hope it is for you. I look forward to answering any question you may have and making sure your transition into grad school is as smooth as possible. Feel free to email me anytime!

Hello! I was born and raised in Queens, New York. I graduated from Hunter College with a major in Biochemistry. I was originally in the pre-med track, however, while working as a volunteer at Mount Sinai West and constantly running to the pharmacy on behalf of the nurses, I realized how integral and significant pharmacists are in healthcare.  My time at TCOP has allowed me to make valuable connections with professors and meet some of the best people I know! In my free time, I enjoy cafe hopping all over NYC, watching k-dramas and true crime, going to concerts, and shopping. Please feel free if you have any questions or even if you just want to talk!

Hello! I am a non-traditional student that has lived all over the world. I have my clinical license and advanced degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. As a result of working in the mental health field, I have many unique experiences and an interesting outlook on mental health and its impact on the community. This is also one of the major reasons that I am seeking my degree in Pharmacy at TCOP! My hobbies are running marathons and eating delicious food. I love dogs and adopted a terrier chihuahua mix, named Littlefoot. If you have any questions about the Touro experience, please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Greetings Everyone! Welcome to Touro! Although my name is Vishwanauth, I usually go by ‘Vish.’ I am a dual degree graduate from Herbert H. Lehman College where I completed my BSc in Biomedical Sciences, and BBA in Finance and Marketing with a minor in Accounting, and also an MPH graduate from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, School Of Public Health, where my final year thesis focused on, ‘Pharmaceutical Spending & Innovation: A Multivariable Analysis On Pharmaceutical Costs Allocation And Its Effects On Medical Innovation And Healthcare Progression.’

I’ve always been confident that I would be involved in the healthcare field ever since I was a child. I’ve also worked as a Pharmacy Technician ever since I moved to the US in 2018, at the age of 17, and I have been exposed to almost every facet of pharmacy ever since, and I continually fall in love with the profession.

I am deeply fascinated by the Clinical Pharmacy field, especially the Infectious Disease subfield. I also have interests in the fields of research, public health, and finance. Outside of academia, I am an avid tennis player, and I love to do anything outdoors-oriented, ranging from sightseeing, photography, hiking, camping, and fishing.

I am truly excited to have the opportunity to welcome you and aid in your transition to Touro College of Pharmacy, and I look forward to being of assistance to the best of my abilities!

Hello! As an enthusiastic advocate for pharmacy education and a proud representative of my institution, I am deeply committed to making a meaningful impact in the field of healthcare. My journey into pharmacy started with a strong foundation in biology, which I pursued during my undergraduate years at CUNY-Lehman College. There, I cultivated my passion for the sciences, ultimately leading me to embark on this exciting path towards becoming a pharmacist. I embarked on my academic journey in the United States after relocating from Ghana, West Africa, where I spent my formative years. This cross-cultural experience has enriched my perspective and allowed me to appreciate the diversity of healthcare practices and needs worldwide. As an undergrad student, I dedicated myself to my studies, majoring in biology. This rigorous program not only provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the biological sciences but also instilled in me the importance of research, critical thinking, and a strong work ethic.

However, my path to pharmacy has been marked by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and a commitment to improving healthcare. As a pharmacy student, I am eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. I am proud of my Ghanaian heritage and grateful to Touro College of Pharmacy for the educational experiences that have shaped me into the passionate and dedicated pharmacy student I am today. My journey has just begun, and I look forward to the exciting adventures that pharmacy school and my future career will bring.

Welcome to Touro College of Pharmacy (TCOP)! I am a passionate, motivated, Pakistani-American pharmacy student here at the TCOP. I will soon pursue a Masters in Public Health (MPH) program offered with New York Medical College through the PharmD/MPH collaborative program along with a Masters in Business Administration program offered with the Touro College of Business in the near future. Before joining TCOP’s family, I graduated from City College of New York with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2023 and I also became a certified pharmacy technician. During my undergraduate years, I had tried my best to learn as much as possible about biomedical research and pursued reading scientific literature within pharmacology and structural biology. In addition, I sought to help people by becoming a health professional which had landed me in the field of pharmacy, a perfect junction of healthcare and research. The committed TCOP faculty, the student support systems, the extracurriculars, and the dual-degree programs are only some of many reasons why you will be a successful pharmacist if you pursue your PharmD at TCOP. I am super ecstatic to be given the chance to aid in your transition to the college and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or thoughts about the journey and transition. Hope to hear from you and see you on campus!
