Pharmacists Society of the State of New York/PSSNY

The Society’s purpose is “to unite the pharmacists of the State for mutual assistance, encouragement, and improvement in order to maintain the standard of pharmacy practice at a high professional and ethical level.” PSSNY is active in advocating for New York state legislation addressing the concerns of the pharmacy profession. Each year PSSNY hosts a lobby day designed to educate pharmacy students on the legislative process and continue lobbying efforts for the Society’s legislative agenda. The Student Pharmacist Society of the State of New York (SPSSNY) is a platform for pharmacy students to go beyond the classroom and become actively involved in current legislative issues like decreasing reimbursements, increasing fees and unregulated “claw-backs” alongside current pharmacists to actively advocate for and improve their profession.
