Prior to joining Touro College of Pharmacy in 2014, Heidi Fuchs spent five years in undergraduate admissions management across three schools at Yeshiva University. Earlier in her career, she dedicated 26 years to Merit Consulting, one of the most respected employment service firms in the tri-state area, where she served as a vice president and recruiter.
A proud Touro College alumna, Heidi also pursued graduate studies at New York University’s Graduate School of Education, Nursing, Health, and Arts Professions. She brings a deep commitment to service, having held numerous civic and communal leadership roles, including Chair of the Teaneck Board of Ethics, member of the Teaneck Civilian Complaint Review Board, Vice President of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Teaneck, and Community Coordinator for Holy Name Hospital’s Center for Healthy Living Women’s Health Symposium.
Within higher education and pharmacy, Heidi has been actively engaged in national leadership and advisory roles. She served on Touro University’s Student Support Services team as part of the Middle States Self-Study and currently serves on the AACP Admissions Workshop Advisory Committee. She is also a mentor in the AACP Student Services Mentorship Program and has previously chaired the AACP Pharm4Me Champions Advisory Committee. Her service has extended to the AACP Communications Committee and the Women’s Leadership Circle. She currently serves as a facilitator for an AACP Leadership Circle cohort. In 2018, Heidi was selected by the U.S. Navy Medical Recruiting Command as an Educator to Sea Distinguished Visitor.
Heidi also serves on several academic advisory boards, including Lehman College’s Pre-Health Advisory Board, Farmingdale State College’s Bioscience Program Advisory Board, and the New York City College of Technology (City Tech) Advisory Commission for the Chemical Technology Department.
